Episode 4 Begins!

With the publication of the JP "Prologue: Inner Voice" and its tied-in flashback post "Idols and Whispers" - more on flashback posts later - Episode 4 "Truth, Justice, and Federation Way" has now officially gone live! =D
Since several of the saved posts still take place in the time frame of Episode 3.5, I'll keep 3.5 open for another another week or two so that those posts can be published under the correct mission title. All other posts, however, should be published under Episode 4. So please double check whether your post is under the right mission title before sending it out.
Due to the nature of our simming, it is inevitable that some of the posts will be published out of the order in which they take place in-story; a suggested reading order will be one way to help keep the in-story sequence of events clear and legible. I'll soon begin updating the suggested reading order for Episode 4. You can find it in the Mission Library under Starfleet Database, which is what we call our built-in wiki. You can find the link to Starfleet Database on the top of any page on our site.
To help keep track of the sequence of events, we will adopt a standard format for time stamps starting with Episode 4. Generally, a post's time stamp should consist of three parts: 1) a 24-hour clock time, 2) a mission day, which should be abbreviated as MD, and 3) a sim date with month, day, and year in parentheses. Our current sim year is 2393, and Mission Day 1 of Episode 4 will take place on March 3. So a typical time stamp would look something like this: 0945 Hours, MD 1 (March 3, 2393).
The clock time doesn't have to be absolutely precise. It's just there to help establish which post happens first, which happens next. And there's no need to lose sleep over which clock time to put down. If you are not sure what the exact time is, or if you think it would be better for story-telling to leave out the exact time, then just leave it out, in which case you will only have the mission day and the sim date in the time stamp (although I do expect that most of the posts dealing with major story events will have all three parts). Another exception would be flashback posts, which might only have a year, or maybe even something as vague as "x years ago," or "some time ago," etc.
Speaking of flashback posts, due to the nature of our current mission and its close connection to the previous major mission, i.e. Episode 3 - A Future That Was, there will be a number of flashback posts that provide the necessary background information on the alternate future that the USS Themyscira comes from. That way, you won't have to go back and read all the posts from Episode 3. Most of these flashback posts will be tied to a post that takes place in the present in order to showcase the effect that alternate future had on the actions, attitudes and thoughts of the Themyscira crew.
I realize that sometimes I have a penchant for complex story lines and plot structures. I'll do my best to keep things simple and clear, and the aforementioned reading order and time stamps are one way to that end. And please do not ever hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also, I'm always open to suggestions and ideas, whether they are story related or not, so if you have any in mind, just send them my way. I'll really appreciate them. The Arcadia is a team effort after all. =)
